Private Helsinki & Lapland Winter Tour | 7 Days

Day 1 — Arrive in Helsinki

Your private driver meets you at Helsinki Airport and takes you to Hotel Kämp, on the city's grand Esplanadi boulevard. The evening is yours: a walk under the Esplanadi lights, then dinner at a table we reserve for you in one of Helsinki's best New Nordic restaurants.

Day 2 — Private Helsinki and a seafront sauna

A full day with your private guide and driver. Senate Square and the Cathedral, the Rock Church carved into granite, Oodi Library and the Design District, with time for the shops and studios you care about. In the late afternoon, a seafront sauna session: heat, a dip in the frozen Baltic and a warm drink by the water. The evening is free.

Day 3 — Fly north to Lake Inari

A morning flight takes you about 1 hour 40 minutes north to Ivalo. Your driver brings you to Wilderness Hotel Inari, on the shore of Lake Inari. In the afternoon, a guided visit to Siida, the Sámi museum, explains how the Sámi have lived in this land for thousands of years. After dinner, your first Northern Lights evening by the frozen lake.

Day 4 — Reindeer, the frozen lake and the aurora

The morning belongs to the reindeer: meet the herd, ride in a reindeer sleigh through the snowy forest and warm up with coffee by the fire. In the afternoon, a snowmobile ride across Lake Inari, with ice fishing on the way. In the evening, a guided aurora outing, by snowmobile or in a heated sledge depending on the forecast and your energy.

Day 5 — Huskies and the forest spa

After breakfast, a husky safari through the forest, with time to meet the dogs and learn to drive the sled. Then a private transfer south to Gáldu Hotel & Spa in Saariselkä, on the edge of Urho Kekkonen National Park. The rest of the day is for the forest spa: three saunas, a warm outdoor pool, a hot tub and a cold plunge under the winter sky.

Day 6 — Urho Kekkonen National Park

A private snowshoe walk with a nature guide into the fells of Urho Kekkonen National Park, with lunch cooked over an open fire. You are back at the hotel by mid-afternoon to rest. After dinner, a private Northern Lights hunt by car: your guide follows the clear skies and sets up warm drinks and photos wherever the aurora appears.

Day 7 — Departure from Ivalo
