Guidance DMC is a boutique luxury travel company. We design private, tailor-made journeys across Finland, Lapland, Norway, Sweden and Estonia — for travellers who want their trip handled by people who actually know the ground.
Before Guidance, we were the ones planning our own trips. Reading every blog, cross-checking every lodge, and still landing somewhere to find a driver who was late, a hotel that didn't know we were coming, and a guide reading from a script. It wasn't a money problem. It was a care problem.
We looked at the two kinds of companies operating in the Nordics and couldn't place ourselves in either. Big operators ran everything through the same template — scale first, personalisation later, if at all. Online platforms stitched together trips from partners none of them had met in person. Both sold the same trip to everyone. Neither sold the trip we'd want to take.
So we built the agency we wished we'd booked with. A small Helsinki team that actually knows the ground. Itineraries designed by the person you'll be writing to. Transfers run by drivers we've worked with for years. Hotels and lodges chosen because we've slept there — not because a catalogue told us to recommend them.
Our rule from day one has been unchanged. It's why we operate in five countries rather than fifteen, and why our calendar is deliberately small. Fewer trips, handled properly, by people who care about the outcome. We'd rather say no to a booking than stretch the team thin enough to fail you.

Ruslan runs the part of Guidance that decides whether a trip feels smooth or stressful — transfers, timing, guides, airport handovers, short-notice adjustments. If something is happening on the ground during your journey, he's the person making sure it runs properly.
Angelina
Angelina designs the shape of every Guidance journey — what to do, when to do it, what to skip, how each day should actually feel on the ground. Every itinerary is drawn by hand with strong pacing and a few carefully chosen signature moments.
