At a glance

  • Central five-star hotel in Tallinn
  • Private Old Town walk and Estonian cooking workshop
  • Helsinki market hall tasting and Suomenlinna
  • Open-fire salmon soup near Nuuksio

This seven-day private culinary journey connects Tallinn and Helsinki through food, history, craft, and a clean cross-border route. You begin in Tallinn with a private arrival, central 5-star hotel check-in, and a first evening inside the Old Town, where dinner is planned for atmosphere, warmth, and an easy start. From the beginning, the trip is hosted, so transfers, reservations, ferry timing, and daily flow are handled by one point of control.

Tallinn gives the first half of the week its deeper historical texture. A privately guided Old Town walk connects courtyards, viewpoints, trade routes, and changing eras, while a hands-on Estonian cooking workshop turns local food from something observed into something made. A countryside-style day at the Estonian Open Air Museum adds rural architecture, seasonal traditions, and a traditional lunch that gives context to the flavours on the table.

Then the journey crosses the Gulf of Finland by ferry and shifts into Helsinki’s calmer Nordic rhythm. A private city introduction, Finnish dinner, Suomenlinna sea fortress, and market hall tasting bring the capital into focus through sea air, design, and everyday food culture. The final full day moves into the forest near Nuuksio, where the group cooks salmon soup over open fire before returning to Helsinki for a smooth departure the next morning.

Day 3 — Rocca al Mare + rural Estonia + traditional lunch

This day gives the Tallinn section more cultural depth without requiring a long journey. With private transfers and a licensed guide, you visit the Estonian Open Air Museum at Rocca al Mare, where historic farmsteads, wooden buildings, interiors, tools, and seasonal customs explain rural life in a clear, visual way. Lunch is planned in a rustic tavern-style setting to match the day’s countryside narrative.

Day 4 — Ferry to Helsinki + city introduction + Finnish dinner

The crossing from Tallinn to Helsinki is handled as part of the journey, not as a loose transfer day. In Helsinki, you check in at a central 5-star hotel before a private city introduction walk and a reserved Finnish dinner.

Day 5 — Suomenlinna + sea fortress + market hall bite

A short ferry ride takes you to Suomenlinna, the UNESCO-listed sea fortress spread across islands, paths, fortifications, and open sea views. With a licensed guide, the visit is shaped as a layered story rather than a monument checklist, connecting Swedish roots, Russian rule, Finnish independence, and present-day island life. Back in the city, a market hall tasting gives a light, well-paced look at Finnish flavours.
